Prospectus

This document contains the short history of PIBS, its Mission and Vision and her curriculum. This school is a part-time Christian School designed to provide a Christ-centered & Bible-based approach on equipping leaders for the church.

Our right to exist:
Since we have opened this learning institution, (in July 2000) some have asked, “Why another Preacher’s Training School, don’t we have enough of them in our brotherhood? Is this school not in competition with other existing Bible Schools? PIBS is not a competition to any existing bible school because its program is unique. It is a part-time Preaching School tailored for church leaders who are already working full or part-time in the field who are cannot be enrolled in any of our existing school in full-time basis. This school offers programs that will provide and on going Christian education to those who wish to study more in a structured setting.

It is a fact that we cannot ignore that there is a great lack of trained evangelists in the Lord’s church today; this is both a world-wide and nation-wide need. Those of us who have been involved in planting new churches have always faced the frustrating reality of the shortness of our supply for qualified and quality evangelists. Therefore, we want the brotherhood to welcome this new development and to view this program as partner of the on-going need to train and equip church leaders.

In our humble and small capacity, we at PIBS would like to contribute our sincere efforts to meet the needs of the church in providing trained evangelists. We existed only to be God’s arm in the Lord’s Universal body to serve and minister the church. We do not exist as equal to the church of the Lord (far from it); but only as its tool. Our aim is teach the unadulterated word of God and to please Him to whom we have to give account.

We exist not as a competition to any other training institution but as a compliment, after all, as the wise saying goes, “Light houses do not compete with one another.”
With the opening of this new building and facility in Pit-os, Cebu City; which we believe Divine Providence had provided so lavishly; though we are undeserving, will bring us to a new height of service and usefulness. It is our hope that with this new facility that our aim which is to train able minisnisters will be enhance for the greater glory of God.
