A Study on Biblical Worship

The universality of man’s hunger for worship is affirmed in the multiple forms demonstrated by men of different cultures and conditions; ranging from the worship of nature, trees, rocks, rivers, celestial bodies and graven idols in superstitious fear or fetishism to the highest spiritual exercise of which man is capable. In most cases the primary motive of worship is from a desire to placate, ingratiate, or propitiate some higher power, or to commune and share with him or it, or express instinctive or purposed devotion to him.

Facing Setbacks

Have you ever suffered setbacks in life? How do you face setbacks and reversals in life? Have you been so humiliated that you fell so mad at people or even at yourself? Who would want to suffer defeat & setbacks? However, sometimes we suffer setbacks. And this is the fact of life. When you suffer defeats, what would you do? Do you start blaming people? or would you make a self-examination & discover the reasons of the setbacks and defeats and learn some lessons from it?

Study on Joshua - Lesson 1

Interestingly, the name Yashua is the Savior's name in Hebrew language." (Clyde T. Francisco, Based upon John R. Sampey's Syllabus, Introducing the Old Testament, Broadman Press, Nashville Tenn., 1950, pages 48-49)

Study on Joshua - Lesson 2

Text: Joshua 8:1- Theme: God is a God of second chance. Christianity is a religion of second chance. Failure need be final. Introduction: “Every failure is a step to success; every detection of what is false directs us towards what is true; every trial exhausts some tempting form of error. Not only so, but scarcely any attempt is entirely a failure; scarcely any theory, the result of steady thought, is altogether false; no tempting form of error is without some latent charm derived fro truth.” – Whewell.

Man's Greatest Pursuit - Seeking God

While He is calling you and before it is too late. (Prov 1:28-33) There will be a time that it would be too late to seek the Lord. "Behold, the days come, saith the Lord Jehovah, that / will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of Jehovah. And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east; they shall run to and fro to seek the word of Jehovah, and shall not find it." (Amos 8:11)

Making the right choices for God

When it comes to making the right choices in life we come face to face with God and our faith in Him. In years past life was much simpler and there were not so many choices. Today there are choices on every hand. All the choices that we make should be based upon what is right in the sight of God. "What man is he that feareth the LORD? him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose." (Psalm 25:12) What way will you choose? We have the freedom to conduct our life in any way that we want. However, not every way is right, not every way would honor God and not every way will be blessed by Him.

A Generation that did not know the Lord

Text: “And all that generation also were gathered to their fathers. And there arose another generation after them who did not know the LORD or the work that he had done for Israel.” - Judges 2:10 This is one of the saddest passages in the Bible. Those who are familiar with this book know that during this dark period in the annals of Israel’s history, Israel has gone throw seven cycles of apostasy, punishment, repentance and deliverance. These seemingly never ending cycle of evil were due to Israel’s failure to strictly and faithfully obey the laws of God.

Gods, Giants and Grasshoppers

A Lesson on Fear and Faith Texts: Numbers 13 & 14; Joshua 14 'We should go up and take possession of the land, for we certainly can do it.' While the children of Israel were camping in the desert of Paran the Lord told Moses, "Send some men to explore the land of Canaan, which I am giving to the Israelites. From each ancestral tribe send one of its leaders." (Numbers 13:1-2)

Christian empowerment is a biblical theme.
Christ our savior, founder, and head of the church is all powerful. The message that we preach is the only power unto salvation. Early Christians were ordinary but empowered people. (Acts)

Why?
Because they were with Jesus. PIBS would want you to see and harness the power that is latent in you and convert this dormant power into a living dynamo. God wants empowered people who are vessels of his message.

Be the vessel that our Master can use.

Why not join PIBS?
And see how God can change you and use you for his purpose.

What is PIBS?
- A ministry of empowerment
  • Power preaching
  • Power evangelism
  • Power through knowledge
  • Power through prayer
  • Power through godly living

PIBS is looking for godly and desirous Christians who want to serve God. If you think you are that person then our school is design just for you. It is a different school because we function just like a big family. You can enjoy a healthy, loving and supportive group whose aim and desire is to learn the word of God and whose goal is to serve God in the best way we can.
